**IMPORTANT NOTICE**: A decision was made Friday, 5 Feb 2016 that beko Ocean Thunder Surf Boat Series Event # 4 will be held on Saturday 6 February 2016 will be moved to Collaroy Beach. Please note that there are works being conducted between the Collaroy SLSC & The Beach Club, Collaroy. Parking options are Fishermans beach near boat ramp behind Long Reef Golf Club, Council car park to the North of Collaroy Shops or street parking. Normal Parking restrictions will apply.
A summer series of high profile professional Surf Boat events, restricted to 24 Elite Open Men’s Crews and 12 Elite Women’s Crews
Created especially for television viewing with a format that is extreme, impactive and entertaining. Racing off the beach, through the elements of the surf break, return back for a beach run finish. Event Characteristics include: Unique, iconic Australian sport with a strong international development program. A comprehensive sports program highlighting the athletes, the sport, and its attraction will be produced and available for worldwide distribution.
The event profile will showcase our “Elite Bronzed Aussie” athletes in a fresh setting of Sun / Surf / Sand. The events will run entirely in a natural Australian setting environment. TV viewing will be spectacular, highlighting Australia’s unique surfing culture, a value add product for television. An outstanding advertising opportunity for our commercial partners.

In negotiation with a sponsor to organise a wave “expression session” event to be held at “Little Makaha” on the NSW coast on Sydney’s
Northern beaches just north of Long Reef.
We are well into organising this event which is to be held in the off-season of April/May 2016 upon the anticipated arrival of the
South West & Westerly winds in this area at this time of the year.
Crews will be required to be on call and will be contacted when the conditions are suitable.
Whilst more details are to be finalised there will be prizemoney on offer & will be televised.
