eVive Ocean Thunder Winning Bonus |
The winning crew in eVive Ocean Thunder Surf Boat Series will not only walk away with a major share of the $100,000 cash prize money on offer but they will literally row away with the bonus prize, a brand new $25,000 NR Perry Surf Boat, donated by Sydney Surf Boat builder Nathan Perry.
Nathan announced his company’s sponsorship with Gary Watts from Ocean Thunder on Dee Why Beach today, the official venue for all rounds of the 2007 – 2008 eVive Ocean Thunder Surf Boat Series.
Nathan said “to have my manufactured branded NR Perry Surf Boat rowed by the newly crowned 2008 eVive Ocean Thunder Surf Boat Champions will mean that in the following summer season his product will become a winning property associated with one of the best crews in the nation, so it makes business sense, like motorsport what wins today on track is sold in the showroom tomorrow”. Gary Watts accepted the valued prize offer and said “Ocean Thunder is designed to profile the sport of surf boat racing to the commercial world via our global television partners, we will see mass participation of surf boat crews over the next few years, the big winners will be the Surf Boat builders so its great to see such a generous offer by Nathan to put something back into the sport that is creating solid business opportunities.” eVive Ocean Thunder now in its third year is set to become the richest professional surf boat series in the world and the only surf boat event that is now produced and programmed for global television export around the world. |

Ocean Thunder 2007 - Refreshed with eVive |
A refreshed Ocean Thunder professional surf boat series will be launched into a new exciting group of global television networks with a potential international viewing audience of 365 million people.
Under a new sponsorship agreement, international Telco group E2Go Limited have announced that their premium brand eVive Power Stick will become the 2007 – 2008 series official naming rights partner, the event will be known as “eVive Ocean Thunder Pro-Surf Boat Series”. Now moving forward into the 3rd year, Ocean Thunder has had an incredible success story for this unique iconic Australian sport. Surf Boat racing events staged and created especially for television viewing will enjoy further export exposure and race coverage next summer through increased on air programming on FOX Sports, Channel 9, Sky NZ and internationally through the PRO Active Television Group. “eVive Ocean Thunder” will be very much part of their new world wide product launch here in Australia for eVive Power Stick, Group General Manager Wayne Richards says “that the synergies with the sport of surf rowing is ideal both accentuating “power” under extreme lifestyle conditions”. Also the fact that we are marketing all our E2GO Limited brands internationally we want to link with a sport that not only had appeal but offered a point of unique difference, can you imagine when our potential customers view the sport for the first time – eVive will become firmly fixed in their minds”.
The eVive Ocean Thunder Pro Surf Boat 2007 Series will again be restricted to an elite field of the best men’s and women’s crews.
Competitors battle the ocean elements not only for the ultimate success of winning a major share of the $100,000 prize pool, but also to remain competitive throughout the 4 televised one hour broadcast programs to ensure brand exposure for their commercial partners. In order to compete in evive Ocean Thunder competitors must be active Surf Life Saving Australia patrol members on the day of competition. |
