Crew registrations in the Prism Building on the Grand Plage
12.00 pm – 2.00 pm
Pool Boats delivered to Grand Plage
2.00 pm - 6.00 pm
Grande Plage available for practise
Pool Boats available for practise on the Grand Plage subject to:

• Bookings being made with a boat manager who will be located on the beach

• Registrations completed

• Practise takes place with the designated sweep of the crew in charge

By 6.00 pm all boats (Pool boats and Club boats) must be on the beach and trailers
removed to the Hippodrome. The Biarritz Sauvetage Cotier will assist in the logistics
associated with taking the boats to the beach and the removing the trailers to the
Hippodrome. Security has been arranged for Thursday and Friday nights to guard the
boats on the beach.
2.00 pm – 7.00pm
Crew registrations in the Prism Building on the Grand Plage will continue
5.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Briefing for volunteers in the Prism Building on the Grand Plage
6.30 pm – 7.30 pm
Briefing for officials, team managers and sweeps in the Prism Building on the Grand
Plage
8.00 pm – 8.30 pm
Official welcome and presentation of the delegation and rowers to the City of Biarritz
in the Prism Building on the Grand Plage during which time traditional local aperitif
will be offered to all courtesy of the event organisers
7.00 pm – 9.30 pm
The Biarritz Sauvetage Cotier will open bar Terrace outside the Prism Building on the
Grande Plage

Friday September 5th 2008

6.30 am – 8.30 am
Crew warm-ups. These must be prebooked with the boat manager the previous day.
8.30 am – 5.00 pm
Racing as per the specific day program issued
5.00 pm – 6.30 pm
Clear beach

Saturday September 6th 2008

6.30 am – 8.30 am
